Alexander O'Neal - Special Guest at 80s Live

Another big name has been added to a star-studded 80s concert being held in Coventry this summer.

Soul singer Alexander O’Neal, who lit up the charts with hits such as Criticize, Fake and If You Were Here Tonight after launching his solo career in 1985, will take to the stage at the Ricoh Arena’s Ericsson Indoor Arena after being announced as the final addition to the upcoming 80s Live concert, which is being held on Saturday, June 16th.

Mississippi born O’Neal, who got his big break after being signed by Prince to the Warner Brothers label back in 1981, has released eight studio albums since separating from his band The Time, achieving chart success in the UK, US and further afield.

The 64-year-old joins a host of big names including Billy Ocean at the 80s Live show, with tickets still on sale at www.eticketing.co.uk/ricoharena 

The gig is being promoted by Midlands-based entertainment agency One Music Management.

Ian Rogers, from One Music Management, said: “80s Live keeps getting better and better and the addition of Alexander O’Neal to the bill is proof of that. 

“Alexander has a versatile musical collection, and is an exciting inclusion to the line-up.

“We are delighted to be working with the Ricoh Arena to put on a spectacular concert which will bring one of the best musical decades to life once again.”

Other artists set to grace the stage include Billy Ocean, Howard Jones, Five Star, Roland Gift - Fine Young Cannibals and Blow Monkeys

Early bird tickets are priced at £40 plus a booking fee until January 31. 

Tickets will cost £49 plus a booking fee after the Early Bird deadline.
