CCFC vs Gillingham Parking Update

3rd September 2014

Car Parking Update

Coventry City fans have been advised to arrive early for their eagerly-anticipated return to the Ricoh Arena against Gillingham on Friday.

The club have been working closely with the Ricoh Arena to ensure preparations are in place for a night to remember at the stadium.

On-site car-parking remains available and tickets costing £10 can be bought in advance in person from the guest services reception inside the main atrium at the Ricoh Arena but pre-booking online is no longer available.

Parking is also available on the night in car-park C across the dual-carriageway on the A444 but spaces are not guaranteed.

Fans who already had season ticket car-park passes for 2014/15 have automatically been transferred to the Ricoh Arena. Tickets have been posted for the League One fixture against Gillingham but if these have not arrived in time for Friday night’s kick-off, stewards will have a list of names at the car-park gates.

Disabled car-parking spaces are nearly sold out and the remaining tickets are available for £10 by contacting Karl Chester on 0844 873 6500.

There are no match tickets on sale from the Ricoh Arena but match ticket collections will be operated from the box office in the main entrance from 5pm on Friday.

Liz Cooper, marketing director at the Ricoh Arena, said the response from Sky Blues fans had been overwhelming.

“We are all on countdown to Coventry City’s return and we can’t wait,” she said. “Since the news was announced, staff at the Ricoh Arena and Coventry City have been working tirelessly to make sure everything is in place.

“We want supporters to have a memorable experience and we would advise everyone to arrive as early as possible because we don’t want anyone to miss kick-off.

“We have worked closely with Coventry City in the preparations so that staff in car-parking, hospitality and the kiosks throughout the concourse are fully ready for this night to remember.”

Mark Hornby, marketing manager of Coventry City, said: “We would echo the advice to get to the ground as early as possible. We are all looking forward to a wonderful occasion back at the Ricoh and we want supporters to get there well in time to make sure they are in their seats ready for the action to start.”
