England Under-21s are set for a tea-time kick-off on their return to Coventry.
Gareth Southgate’s side take on Kazakhstan at the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday, October 13 and the kick-off time has been set at 5.45pm by UEFA.
It’s the first England Under-21s game in the city since 2009 and will be an opportunity for the Young Lions to build on their 1-0 win over Norway in September in their opening Group 9 qualifier for the UEFA European Under-21 Championships.
Tickets are priced at £10 for adults, £5 for concessions and a £20 family ticket for two adults and two children, and are on-sale via www.ricoharena.com or on 024 7678 6411.
Coventry City season ticket holders are also able to take advantage of two-for-one tickets.
Andy Gibb, managing director of the Ricoh Arena, said the kick-off time would benefit football-supporting families.
He said: “This is probably not a kick-off time that most football fans are used to but other venues that have staged matches at this time say how convenient it is for families with children.
“They might not want them to have a late night on a school night so this will mean they can enjoy the game and still get them off to bed at a reasonable hour!
“We really want this to be an opportunity for children to come along to a game and see international football with plenty of Premier League talent on show in a team full of potential England stars of the future.
“We’ll be going out and engaging with schools and clubs across the city and the region because we want to make this a real night to remember for football fans across Coventry, Warwickshire and the wider area.”
As well as the general ticket prices, there are also group bookings for 15 people or more (no age restrictions and bookable in advance only) priced at £5 for adults and £2.50 for concessions.
Disabled supporters will pay the full price according to their age category with their carer going free and for Charter Standard Clubs there are up to 25 complimentary tickets available on proof of membership with any additional uptake at the group rate.
