Staff from the Ricoh Arena created a big slice of dough for the Worlds biggest coffee morning
Around £550 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support after creative staff spent time at home baking Victoria Sponges, chocolate cakes, cheesecakes and cup cakes.
Slices of cake were then sold to members of staff from Arena Coventry Limited (ACL) – who operate and manage the Ricoh Arena –, Coventry City, the Compass Group, Ricoh and Yorkshire Bank to enjoy with their cups of coffee.
Jenny Shortt, marketing and partnership executive at the Ricoh Arena, said over 20 cakes were baked as the Ricoh Arena joined in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for the first time.
“The day was a great team effort and we were all really pleased with the amount that we raised,” she said.
“We also received great support from our partners, local attractions and companies.
“Macmillan Cancer Support is a fantastic charity. So many people have experienced or been affected by cancer and we were delighted to support an extremely worthwhile cause.”
