 Anthony Mundy has swapped a flagship project in Birmingham for a complex of an identical standing in Coventry.
The 38-year-old has joined the Ricoh Arena as facilities director from Millennium Point in Birmingham where he was property director for four years. Anthony now has responsibility for the property owned by the Ricoh and Coventry City as well as using his technical expertise to look after a myriad of areas from pitch maintenance and event management to tenancies and leases. He had a busy introduction to life at the £113 million venue when he oversaw last month’s Bon Jovi concert and he is relishing the task ahead. “I have been brought in to manage and oversee the operations for the Ricoh Arena and Coventry City which have been brought together following the takeover at the football club,” Anthony said. “We want to ensure that everyone who visits the Ricoh whether it is for an exhibition, conference, football match, concert, dinner or an overnight stay at the hotel has an enjoyable visit and wants to return. “I will be in charge of the team who carry out a whole host of tasks behind the scenes to ensure the Ricoh remains one of Coventry’s landmark buildings.” The father-of-two, who lives with his wife, Emma, and children Edward, aged six, and Beatrice, aged two, in Redditch is no stranger to Coventry because he was maintenance manager at Marconi, now telent, in Allard Way.
