The boutique hotel at the £113 million Ricoh Arena in Coventry is celebrating winning its first award.
71 Rooms & Silk Suites hotel scooped the silver award in the Godiva Awards – the regional awards for the Leisure and Hospitality industry for Coventry and Warwickshire. Guests had the opportunity to vote on-line or send postal votes to reward their favourite hotel. Candice Stevens, Revenue Services Manager at 71 Rooms & Silk Suites, said the certificate will now proudly be displayed in the reception area. “We are a relatively small hotel, competing against much larger national hotel chains,” she said. “Everyone who works at the hotel was thrilled to win this award. “The fact that it is our guests who have voted for us shows the high satisfaction levels and that makes it even more special. “We are different to other hotels in the region since our pitch-view rooms, which overlook the stadium bowl, double-up as small meeting rooms and there is only a handful of venues in Coventry which offers luxurious mini and junior suites. “The Godiva Awards were introduced to reward excellence as well as creativity, flair and commitment and we were delighted with our success.” PICTURE CAPTION: From the left, Candice Stevens, Mark Medley and Helen Wilcox from the 71 Rooms & Silk Suites hotel at the Ricoh Arena |
