Alex Goss has been appointed to the role after graduating from Coventry University with a tourism management degree. The 29-year-old has previously been employed as food and beverages manager at the Quy Mill Hotel in Cambridge. Alex then joined Newmarket Race Course as conference and events manager before gaining promotions to operations manager and deputy general manager before relocating to Cheltenham in a new position for Q Hotels as operations manager. “I am looking forward to developing this new role in the conference and events department,” said Alex. “My job involves liaising with clients once an event has been confirmed so I will work closely with the event planners and operational team to make sure everything is in place for the smooth running of the event from an operational aspect and for the client. “I will be in regular contact with duty managers on the day itself to ensure everything the client has requested is put into practice for an event to remember.” PICTURE CAPTION: Alex Goss, the newly appointed conference and events manager at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry |
