Coventry based company COMAG is celebrating it's 25th Birthday by hosting a special anniversary event at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

25th Birthday Celebration!

COMAG, which is owned by major magazine publishers Hearst Magazines and Condé Nast Publications, is the largest third party magazine distributor in the UK of high-profile market leading titles as well as niche magazines and specialist publications.

A distribution centre called COMAG Forward was established in 1987 and 16 years later the company moved into its current purpose-built 85,000 sqf national distribution centre on the Coventry Business Park which provides publishers with a complete post print service from marketing and distribution to magazine finishing, storage and subscription mailing.

To mark the 25th anniversary, staff and their families have been invited to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday to enjoy a whole host of activities in IBEX Hall 3 including a giant Scaletrix, human table football, a ball pit, surf simulator, bouncy castle, magician, fun fair stalls and a face painter. There will also be a raffle and games prizes along with a celebration cake.

Dominic Byrne, managing director of COMAG Forward, said: “Reaching 25 years in business is a significant milestone in any company’s history and we felt that it was right to celebrate ours by throwing a party for all of our employees and their families.

“As a 24-hour business it’s a challenge to organise anything that can be open to all our employees so a lot of thought and planning has gone into this event to ensure the whole workforce is able to attend.

“It’s also nice that they can do so with their partners and families in such an iconic and relaxed environment as the Ricoh Arena.”

Looking ahead, Dominic said: “COMAG Forward will continue to look for ways that we can diversify and add to our service base so that we can continue to offer value for our shareholders, grow our business and secure the future for our employees.”

Lisa Fisher, marketing and partnership manager at the Ricoh Arena, said the company’s silver anniversary was a milestone to be proud of.

“We are committed to supporting local businesses across the region particularly in such a momentous year for the region when the Olympics Games is celebrated in a variety of ways particularly here since we are looking forward to hosting 12 matches over eight days during London 2012,” she said.

“The anniversary day promises to be a fun-filled occasion for everyone who attends and we hope everyone has a day to remember.”
