The Ricoh Arena has been shortlisted for a prestigious national exhibition award.

The award-winning venue is among six finalists in the best venue category in the Exhibition News Awards 2012.
The highly versatile Ricoh Arena will be competing against the Business Design Centre, Earls Court, Olympia and ExCeL in London and The NEC in Birmingham.
The Exhibition News Awards recognise outstanding businesses and individuals in the industry and the winners of the ten award categories will be announced at the sixth annual ceremony at the new-look West Hall at Olympia in the capital on Thursday, March 29.
Liz Cooper, marketing director at the Ricoh Arena, said the venue was able to offer exhibition organisers the complete package.
“We are thrilled to have been shortlisted in a national award which is held in such high esteem and it underlines the standard of our facilities as well as the experience and skills of our staff,” she said.
“The organisers have emphasised that competition in all the categories was incredibly fierce which reflects the diversity and significant achievements across the exhibition industry.
“Last year we opened our extended £3.7 million exhibition and conference facilities which have proved really popular with organisers who want to grow their events here.
“The fact we now have a 650-seat auditorium along with three more halls that are linked to the Jaguar Exhibition Hall gives a total of 7,800 sq ft and means we can cater for exhibitions however large or small.
“Our flexibility and versatility are our key strengths along with being able to offer entertainment, dining and accommodation under one roof along with on-site parking and our location means we are within a two-hour drive for 75 per cent of England’s population which is important for exhibitions attracting delegates from across the UK.
