Florence + The Machine at the Ricoh Arena, December 8th

The award-winning Florence + The Machine will be taking to the stage at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry this December.

Tickets will go on sale priced at £29.50 at 9am on Friday, September 14 from www.theticketfactory.com and www.seetickets.com for the gig in the Jaguar Hall on Saturday, December 8.

The band’s multi award-winning debut album Lungs was one of the best selling albums of 2009 and 2010, staying in the UK’s Top 40 for a remarkable 65 successive weeks.

Their current album Ceremonials became the band’s second successive No. 1 after also debuting at the top of the UK chart as well as reaching an impressive sixth in the US Billboard 200 chart.

Their latest single, Spectrum (Say My Name), which was the band’s first No. 1 in the UK in July, is among five tracks to have been released from Ceremonials.

Liz Cooper, marketing director at the Ricoh Arena, said this was a major coup to attract a band such as Florence + The Machine to the Jaguar Hall.

“Florence Welch, Isabella Summers and the rest of the band are currently touring throughout America and Europe and we are proud we will be welcoming them to the Ricoh Arena in December,” she said.

“The band has really shot to prominence over the last four years and they have a really distinctive sound which has won them an army of fans throughout the world.

“They have deservedly won acclaim at all the major music award ceremonies from the Grammys to the NME Awards which underlines their ongoing success.

“It will be wonderful to hear their army of devoted fans singing along to their hits in the Jaguar Hall and it promises to be a night not to be missed.

“Attracting bands such as the calibre of Florence + The Machine highlights the increasing popularity of the Ricoh Arena for indoor concerts as well as gigs in the stadium bowl.

“Since we are located only 20 minutes away from the NEC and the NIA we have become a serious contender with promoters for hosting successful concerts.”

Doors will open at 6.30pm for the standing-only concert. A maximum of six tickets can be booked per person.
