Jethro coming to Mercia Live Level

EXPECT a few fireworks when the ever-popular Cornish comedian Jethro brings his laughter-loaded show to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry for an hilariously funny evening of slightly naughty entertainment.

Jethro will bring his irrepressible wit to an adults-only show in the Mercia Live Level on Saturday, November 5, at 7.30pm.

With his very own irreverent style of delivery, Jethro is one of the cheekiest comedians around and his 2011 tour sees the popular comic regaling audiences with the best of his classic stories from his successful career, alongside his new material, as he undertakes a journey through his mischievous repertoire of adult material.

Jethro’s latest show promises more tear-jerking tales featuring his mate Denzil and other renowned friends Slipalong Trevaskis and Bill Pedureare, which combine to provide an enjoyable evening’s entertainment of comedy and storytelling from the Cornish master.

Justine Hewitt, events manager at the Ricoh Arena, said Jethro’s show is packed with witty observations and gags.

“We have already attracted a number of high-profile comedians to the Mercia Live Level and I’m sure Jethro will have the audience laughing at his jokes and observations on life,” she said.

“His show will feature his amusing perceptions of theory and reality and bring the audience up-to-date with Denzil’s latest exploits.

“Jethro will be performing, as usual, armed with nothing more than a microphone, a stand and a small table with his favorite drink to hand and as he paces the stage from side to side, you will feel part of the show.”

Jethro has also made a record nine appearances on the Des O’Connor Tonight! programme and appeared on Jim Davidson’s Generation Game five times, twice to make a Cornish pasty! In fact, Jim Davidson is a big fan of the Cornish comic and says Jethro is his favourite storyteller. Jethro was particularly honoured to appear in the Royal Variety Show in front of the Queen in December 2001.
