Award-winning Renewable Roadshow

The award-winning Renewables Roadshow will be focusing on a major new Government energy efficiency scheme when the free one-day show takes place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry next week.

Organisers of the event – which is held at six venues across the country – scooped first prize in the Best Launch Show at the Exhibition News Awards 2012.

Builders, electricians, gas installers, heating engineers and plumbers from across the Midlands are urged to come along to the Ricoh Arena’s Jaguar Exhibition Hall between 9.30am and 4.30pm on Thursday.(September 13)

Dan Caesar, managing director at Renewables Roadshow, said it was vital trade professionals found out more about the Government’s flagship investment programme Green Deal which will be launched in the autumn.

“If businesses don’t get on board now then they may miss out on a share of the £1.3 billion a year which has been ear-marked to revolutionise energy efficiency at properties across Great Britain,” he said.

“Even if, as expected the Green Deal takes a few months to get going, traders need to get a head start by integrating it into their business now or we predict their competitors will be winning the work that the ‘green rush’ generates in 2013.

“Green Deal is the hot topic at the Renewables Roadshow but there will also be seven educational theatres with dozens of presentations.”

The exhibition will showcase thousands of energy efficient products including air source heat pumps, controls, insulation, low-energy lighting, micro combined heat and power systems, rainwater harvesting, smart metering, solar and other technologies.

Chris Owen, event manager at the Ricoh Arena, said the Renewables Roadshow’s first exhibition at the Ricoh Arena last year had been a huge success which had been reflected in the organisers winning an industry award.

“Once again Renewables Roadshow will be highlighting the current energy efficiency trends which traders need to be aware of ahead of the launch of Green Deal,” he said.

“It is no surprise that with soaring energy costs UK’s carbon emissions remain a subject which is high on the agenda of householders and business owners.

“The Ricoh Arena is certain to be buzzing with information about all the latest industry news and products and it would be great if this was another award-winning exhibition!”
