The Risk Concert at the Ricoh
The 2011 X-Factor finalists entertained devoted fans in a special gig in Hall 5 in the Live Level to leave the crowd wanting more!
Ahead of the gig in his home city, Charlie said on Twitter: “Tonight is gonna feel like singing in a big living room for me. Think I’m gonna know 80% of the crowd lol.”
And he wasn’t disappointed by the reaction to the concert when he Tweeted afterwards: “It was a special night and great to play a home town gig.”
The band said: “The gig and hospitality shown by the Ricoh Arena and staff was fantastic.”
The Risk are still sorting out dates for a nationwide tour and are due to release a single in October followed by their first album next year.
Lisa Fisher, marketing and partnership manager at the Ricoh Arena, said: “There was a great deal of affection in the hall for Charlie and the rest of the band and it was clear from the cheers that he had a huge number of family and friends in the crowd.
“Eastenders actor Adam Woodyatt and his family were among the audience which featured fans of all ages and that underlines The Risk’s universal appeal.
“Our next gig will be the Urban Jam concert featuring Tinchy Stryder and that news received a big cheer!”
