UK Wedding Show Returns

12th and 13th January

One of the largest bridal shows in Coventry is returning to the Ricoh Arena next month.

The UK Wedding Show 2013 is again expecting around 3,000 visitors to the Jaguar Exhibition Hall on Saturday, January 12 and Sunday, January 13.

Suppliers from Coventry, Warwickshire, Birmingham, Nottingham, Derby and Leicester will be attending along with Moss Bros and Sandals Resorts to showcase their products and services to give ideas and inspiration to brides-to-be and their fiancées.

Catwalk shows will be held three times each day to model the latest bridal, menswear and mother-of-the-bride trends using professional models.

Bev Howard, company director at The UK Wedding Shows which are also held in London, Manchester, Leeds, Harrogate, Newcastle and Liverpool, said this event was now firmly established at the Ricoh Arena.

She said: “It always takes three or four years to get a show fully established and we’re glad to be returning to the Ricoh Arena. We hope 2013’s event will be even more successful than last year.

“We had around 3,000 visitors over the weekend in 2012 and we’re hoping for a similar footfall again if not a little bit higher.

“We aim to have suppliers connected with every aspect of a wedding day including venues, catering, photographers, travel, entertainment, cakes and stationery. We try to get a varied cross-section to suit budgets and different tastes.

“This will be our first UK Wedding Show of 2013 and we are confident it will set the standard for the remainder throughout the country.”

Chris Owen, senior events manager at the Ricoh Arena, said this would be the first time the first day of the UK Wedding Show was taking place on a non-matchday since Coventry City’s league fixture was away.

“There will be over 80 exhibitors for visitors to find out more about their services and chat to for advice to make sure their wedding day goes without a hitch,” he said.

“Each visitor will receive a free goody bag and a show guide magazine detailing all the exhibitors in case they want to get in touch for more information afterwards.”

Doors will open at 10am and close at 5pm on both days and brides can register for a complimentary ticket with one paying guest, at £8, by registering at www.theukweddingshows.co.uk. Children aged 15 and under gain free admission.
