Imagineering Fair 2012

The Imagineering Foundation is an independent education charity introducing 8-16 year olds to the exciting world of engineering, science and technology through fun, hands-on activities and personal involvement.

It organises public Imagineering Fairs and appears at other major events across the UK. This year it has already featured at London Model Engineering Exhibition, the Royal Bath & West Show in Somerset, RNAS Yeovilton International Air Day and the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford near Cirencester.

Building on its success at the Fairs and to provide more sustained engagement for young people, Imagineering has developed other activities, most notably Imagineering Clubs. These weekly out-of-school Clubs are run by volunteer engineer tutors and teachers where youngsters make working models, linked to real-life applications, using simple tools and learning basic skills, - and have fun in the process!

Imagineering works hand-in-hand with professional organisations and companies and it dovetails neatly with educational initiatives promoting engineering skills.

It also manages the Imagineering Jaguar Land Rover Education Business Partnership Centre at Gaydon, Warwickshire which offers a range of STEM activities for youngsters for half and full-day sessions.
